Shakira showed her love and support for Haiti’s Earthquake victims and performed last week at Haiti Benefit Concert live from New York City, NY.

The show was broadcasted live for dozens of countries which helped the Haiti victims by sending funds to their main helping organizations.

Many stars were present making speeches, answering the viewers calls and of course Shakira didn’t miss the opportunity to perform “I’ll stand by you” live from NYC.

We know that many celebrities and even regular citizens are sending money to help Haiti Earthquake victims, but Shakira is not giving just money!

The she Wold Singer will now extend her foundation to Haiti so she can help the local children by giving them a school, a place to eat and also sleep with the construction of Pies Descalzos Foundation in Haiti.

With already six schools open in her home country columbia, Shakira will not be alone in this new Haiti project. Howard Buffett, World Food Ambassador against hunger will also be involved in this new project that was made official latest January 21st.

She quotes:

“All I have to do is close my eyes and I can imagine their faces; I know that each child has a name, a heart, a dream; I know that their lives are just as valuable as yours or mine. Yet many of these children die every day in total abandonment.”

She’s such a good heart. Shakira deserves the best.

Shakira is helping save the world’s economies by going shopping.

The She Wolf singer admits she used to feel guilty about splashing her cash because she is Catholic but soon realised her spending habits are a good thing.

She said: “I do like to enjoy things any normal girl my age enjoys: I jog in the park, watch really bad movies. I used to feel guilty - I am a Catholic girl after all - but today, the way I see it, shopping keeps the world rolling. A world where people don’t consume? The economy gets worse.”

The Colombian-born beauty also denied claims she has turned her back on her native country and insists she does everything she can to help.

Shakira - who now lives in Miami - told You magazine: “It couldn’t be further from the truth - I go frequently to Colombia.

“I grew up understanding that in countries like mine when you are born poor, you are destined to die poor.

“I have seen how many children are recruited into the militia or into the drug-trafficking business at an early age because they are not safe at school, and I understood that I could do something about it even in a small way. No child wants to be a drug dealer or in the militia.”

Extra! Shakira has a new music video for the song Did It Again.

In the music clip, the singer appears with a hot sexy dance with a male model in the bed, and some sexy poses in the sauna while she sings.

Shakira was in Portugal yesterday to attend a meeting in order to help needed children in Portugal, Spain, and Latin America via a Ibero-America protocol.

Well this was kinda reported by us before, but now there is another report claiming Shakira wants to take some time off from her musical career and get married and have sons.

The 32-year-old singer, who has been engaged to Antonio de la Rua, 36, for the last four years, said that she’s planning to try for a baby as soon as possible because her ‘biological clock is ticking’.

“I”m dying to have a baby. We both are. I”d like two and Antonio would like three,”

“So probably after my next album, which comes out next year. I don”t think it could be sooner because in 2010 I”ll be touring as well.

“In fact, my biological clock is already ticking and I don”t know how to describe it. It’’s just becoming a physical need now,” she added.

The event took place last Thursday, November 5th at the O2 Arena in Berlin, Germany where she also took advantage to promote “Did It Again”, a new song from the upcoming album: She Wolf.

Shakira just revealed that she wants to have babies!

She is known as the biggest latin pop singer, but she recently told the press that she also wants to be known as a “mommy”. Let’s hope Oscar de La Rua agrees with her projects.

Read below what Shakira told to the reporters:

“My body feels like it is asking to reproduce, to have a huge belly and carry babies.  And when the baby comes, I don’t want to be in the middle of 100,000 projects.”

“I’ve always lived through my mouth.  It’s my biggest source of pleasure: what I say, what I sing, the kisses I give, the chocolate I eat.”
